Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds
Minutes of the April 9, 2009 Meeting
Present: Mayor Driscoll, Raymond Vaillancourt & Thaddeus Buczko
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M.
The Salem Council on Aging submitted claims for the Endicott Fund for $1,747.37.
Raymond Vaillancourt made a motion to approve the expenses. The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.
The Board received a $6,000 check for the Perpetual Care Fund. The check will be forwarded to the Eastern Bank for deposit into the Perpetual Care account.
The Board received a letter from the Children’s Friend and Family Services announcing the resignation of Steve Schaffer as Director. He has done an outstanding job for their organization and will be missed.
Richard Rennard, Director of Public Works requested payment of interest earned on the Perpetual Care Funds. The payments will be forwarded to him for the Cemetery Commission.
The Board received a letter from Leonard A. Berkal on behalf of the Salem Kiwanis group. He has approved yearly scholarships for seniors at Salem High School. The Board tabled further discussion until the next meeting.
Raymond Vaillancourt made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 12, 2009 meeting. The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
